Abstract

In this study, the production of fruiting bodies of five native strains on different substrates was evaluated by quantifying the biological efficiency and the size of the piles. For this, four different substrates were used: sterilized pine sawdust (S1), corn stalk chopped into fragments and dried coffee pulp composted for 9 days and then pasteurized (S2), corn stalk and corn cob chopped into fragments and disinfected by immersion in alkaline water (S3), and chopped corn stalk and sterilized chopped corn cob (S4). Fruiting bodies were only produced in the SI and S4 substrates. The highest biological efficiencies were obtained in the S4 substrate, with a significant difference (p<0.05) being observed with the S I substrate. Regarding the strains, it was observed that 52.03 was the only one that developed piles with diameters between 1 and more than 4.0 cm in the S1 and S4 substrates, while the remaining strains obtained piles less than 4.0 cm. The S4 substrate is considered promising for the production of fruiting bodies at the level of rural communities, for which reason its use is recommended.
