After a few years of being on recess, today the SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy is present, to fulfill the duty of disseminating the important aspects of the activity carried out in our house of studies in the fields of research, experimentation, teaching, extension and social service, placing special emphasis on the facets of the development and application of the sciences that make up our sphere of work. This issue will highlight the content of the graduation theses of students who have recently entered the professional world. Several of these works contain very interesting contributions to the development of science and its application to social needs. Others raise concerns that if they are accepted and therefore their subject is delved deeper, they will open profitable returns. The publication of the best theses from each of the schools is also inscribed as a stimulus to their authors, so that they continue to glean in the field of scientific research. Of particular projection is the inclusion of some of the research work carried out by several professors of the Faculty on health, production and environmental problems. The content of these works demonstrates the contribution that our teachers make to the formulation of national problems and the solutions offered in order to overcome the difficulties that hinder national development and prevent enjoyment by the inhabitants of Guatemala. better standard of living.Downloads
