Abstract

In compliance with what was proposed in the Action Plan that we presented to the Faculty Community for the period 1,998-2,002. I have the pleasure of informing the Researchers. Professors, Professionals and Students of the Faculty, the University and the country in general, who through the review and analysis of the functions and achievements of the Institute of Chemical and Biological Research of the Faculty, carried out with the advice of recognized research professors national and international of our Academic Unit and with the participation of members of the Board of Directors, the Research System of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy of the University of San Carlos de Guatemala was created. Minutes 42-2001 of the Board Directive)   With numbers 12, 13, 14. the Special Edition and with this No. 1 5 of the Scientific Journal of the Faculty we leave testimony of our commitment to the dissemination of Research, and through the creation of the Research System and the approval of the regulations of the same by the Board of Directors of the Faculty. Act 10-2002, March 15, 2002.), we record our concern that the investigation and the researchers of the Faculty have a greater support for their work and find, both in the Institute of Chemical and Biological Research and in the System, supports that encourage them and facilitate the achievement of their goals.   The Research System of the Faculty has as its VISION the generation and transfer of scientific and technological knowledge in a comprehensive and humanistic framework in the areas of Health, Environment and Industry, based on the main problems and needs of the country and its development potential. , linked to teaching, extension and production of goods and services.
