Abstract

1. To determine the prevalence and incidence of the HIV virus in prostitutes in the capital city and Coatepeque who regularly attend sexual prophylaxis centers, as well as in a group of prostitutes in the capital who do not attend these services.

2. To demonstrate the importance of diagnosing this condition in high-risk populations to prevent its spread.
