.Abstract
The responsibility that falls on the Institute of Chemical and Biological Research for the edition of the Scientific Journal of the Faculty is undeniable, since there is no other means by which the results of the studies carried out by our researchers can be easily disclosed to the university community. This journal not only includes the research financed by the IIQB but also publishes articles derived from the best Undergraduate Theses of each of the Schools, as well as research papers from some courses. It should also serve as a stimulus for research professors who are starting out in this field to disseminate their research. Since the creation of the IIQB and its approval by the Superior University Council in 1990, the importance of promoting the publication and dissemination of scientific and technological information generated in the Faculty was established in its regulations. In the Editorial of Volume 1 of this magazine, published in 1983, the need to have its own informative body is highlighted. 18 years have passed and 14 is the number that corresponds to us, which reflects how little the results of the research have been disclosed in the Faculty, since more than 90 theses are generated per year and an average of 15 annual projects financed by the Institute; this without adding the research carried out by professors and students of the Faculty with external financing. Hence, it is essential to increase publications.Downloads
