This research had as objectives two specifics stuffs. First. T want evaluate what phisico-chemestry parameters have had correlation with the distribution of freshwater macroinvertebrates. Second aim. T want identify what phisico-chemestry parameters could explain their distribution to small-scale, in Lachuá. Tzetoc and Peyán rivers. All they arc into National Park Lagoon Lachuá on Ecorregión Lachuá. Alta Verapaz. Guatemala. T traveled across in each river sections 100 to 200 meter, where 1 collected freshwater macroinvertebrates with a D net. Each section was sampled with 10 drags. Each drag was for a minute over organic matter, it was deposited on the river's channel.
I measured at each point of drag conductivity, salinity, total dissolved solids, pH, temperature, current velocity and depth in the water column. Based on cluster analysis and ordering analysis I found that taxonomic composition of Peyán river's macroinvertebrates assemblies differs by 50% of the taxonomic composition of assemblies in Tzetoc and Lachuá rivers. These was correlated to largest concentration of salts, lower temperature and lower concentration of oxygen in the Peyán river. Differences found in the distribution into each section’s river were correlated with the speed of the current variation and pH values. In spite of differences in taxonomic composition. I established that functional feed groups are similar between rivers. Those rivers were dominated by collectors-gathered in more than 70%.
