The editing and publication of the scientific journal of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy is a relevant fact, worthy of being known or celebrated, especially since it dates back to the year 1983. It is in this sense important to emphasize that through the chronological journey of 36 years of existence, the innovative nature of the management and production processes of the different and varied editions of the journal has been maintained, in particular, the use of the electronic means taking into consideration the need to provide readers with greater visualization and quality of the editions, derived in the realization of actions in the editing process of the Journal. Resulting in, in 2012, the virtual publication began, hosted on the site (www.revistaiiqb.sac.edu.gt) containing all the volumes produced from 1983 to the present date. In 2013, the University's Central Library managed and implemented the Guatemalan Journals portal "Go and Teach All," which also hosts the journal (www.revistascientificas.usac.edu.gt). This university tool is considered a support for the transition from print to digital formats, facilitating the work of journal editors and raising the quality of publications. Clearly, all these developments and updates have made it possible to continue the indexing process, a vital technology for search engines and databases.
