This research includes a study of the pharmacological properties (hypnotic and sedative) attributed to Daucus carota (carrot), Aneth um graveolens (dill), and chilles millefollium (yarrow) popularly used in Guatemala. To verify these therapeutic effects, infusions of the above-mentioned plants were prepared and administered to albino mice weighing approximately 20g. The tests used for this study were those of Boissier and using the perforated plate, Rota Rod and Chimney and the Winter Sleep Potentiation test. The results obtained in the different tests mentioned gave positive results for each of the plants studied. The leaves of the plants do not have acute toxicity.Downloads
