presentationAbstract
The Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy once again presents the results of research conducted by its research professors. These works constitute a valuable contribution to knowledge, and our Faculty is the one that conducts the most research within the University of San Carlos of Guatemala and in our country. The topics addressed are varied and diverse: we find a study on edible basidiomycetes in the search for immunomodulatory activity. There is also a comparative macro and micro study that evaluates the inhibitory activity of pathogenic fungi and yeasts. There is a valuable contribution in the study of the use of fungi. Another study addresses the topic of candidiasis in people living with HIV, the most common opportunistic infection in this type of patient.
