.Abstract
The Institute of Chemical and Biological Research of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy contemplates within its main objectives, the publication of the results of the research projects carried out in the Research Units accredited in the Institute, with the purpose of motivating to the researcher, presenting the research results to the medical community and contributing to the community by informing them of the medicinal properties of native plants of the country, studied by the Research Unit, coordinated to date by Lic. Armando Cáceres. In this
laboratory, several thesis works have been developed by students from different University careers. These works have complemented some projects that have been jointly developed with the support of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Chemical and Biological Research Institute, agro-industrial development projects with funds from the General Directorate of Research (DIGI) or of the line FODECYT. In this same line. Project proposals continue to be developed for the (DIGI) and various CONCYT financing lines such as FODECYT and AGROCYT, and collaboration continues with American and European universities, which has allowed the
publication of scientific articles on native plants with development potential.
