presentationAbstract
The Scientific Journal of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences and Pharmacy is a publication that primarily seeks to disseminate the results generated by the scientific research produced at this Institution. The Faculty, which is made up of five programs: Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, Biological Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry; a Community Teaching Experiences (CTE) program; and the Center for Conservation Studies (CECON), produces scientific research on a wide range of topics. Each School awards a bachelor's degree upon completion of a five-year curriculum, followed by Supervised Professional Practice (SPP) in rural areas, and finally, the development of an ad graduate thesis. The ad graduate thesis consists of developing a research project that, through the application of the scientific method, allows students to formulate hypotheses and objectives, evaluate the problem using the analytical methods learned during their degree, and ultimately, reach conclusions about the problem at hand. By completing this work, the student has the opportunity to contribute to studying and proposing alternative solutions to specific national problems within the scope of our careers and to comply with the provisions of the Statutes of the University of San Carlos in its Articles 3: Will collaborate in the study of national problems that deserve consideration and those others in which it is required and 7° Section b): Contribute in a special way to the approach, study and resolution of national problems, from the cultural point of view and with the broadest patriotic spirit. This small remuneration is part of what the student is morally obliged to contribute to the country after having obtained his professional training.
